HSD has signed an agreement to acquire Canberra-based IT Solutions company, Crystal Approach.

Crystal Approach is an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services and consulting company founded in 2004.  Crystal Approach provides services to a range of government agencies, companies and non-profit organisations and associations in the ACT and NSW.

The acquisition of Crystal Approach will grow HSD’s Canberra presence with staff relocating to HSD’s Canberra office in the City Walk Centre on Mort Street.

“We’re very excited to welcome Mark Divett and his talented team into the HSD family.  We believe their extensive relationships in Canberra and valuable skills will prove instrumental in enhancing the services and support our current and future clients receive,” said HSD CEO Michael Nancarrow.

“I have worked with HSD on projects for some time and the synergies between Crystal Approach and HSD have been clear.  The directors believe that the acquisition will extend the capability of Crystal Approach to support existing clients and win new projects” added Crystal Approach Director Mark Divett.

The acquisition will extend HSD’s Microsoft development skill-base and number of Microsoft Certified Professionals.  HSD’s business analysis skill-base in Canberra will also be increased.

The combined client base will include current projects with the Department of Industry Innovation Science Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTE), Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities (DSEWPaC), the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA), various ACT Government Agencies, and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.  The acquisition will also extend HSD’s presence on Canberra-based procurement panels.
