HSD welcomed Claire Field as its first independent advisory board member at the inaugural meeting of the HSD Advisory Board held recently.
Claire brings over twenty years of industry experience in the Australian and International Education sector to HSD. Claire has held various senior executive roles, including CEO of the peak body for private tertiary education providers. “I was fortunate to work with HSD when setting up the National Audit and Registration Agency” said Claire. “They impressed me then with their professionalism, diligence and expertise so it was a great pleasure to be asked to take on this new advisory role with them.” Claire is also the Principal of Claire Field and Associates, a consultancy and advisory practice offering strategic advice on VET, international and private higher education, to a range of stakeholders. In welcoming Claire to HSD, Michael Nancarrow, HSD CEO, said: “I would like to formally welcome Claire to our Advisory Board. In this new advisory position, Claire’s guidance will be an invaluable asset to our strategic initiatives and to our clients.” The establishment of the HSD Advisory Board represents a first step in the development of HSD’s new governance structure. The role of the HSD Advisory Board is to provide strategic advice to HSD’s Executive and Management to ensure that HSD continues to grow into the future. “This is an exciting time for HSD”, said HSD COO, Narendra Tomar. “Over the last two decades we have focused on achieving sustained growth by adapting to the needs of our clients. This focus has helped strengthen long-term relationships with our Government clients, especially in the Education and Finance sectors. More recently, the success of HSD’s People and Consulting divisions, has provided new opportunities for growth. The Advisory Board was established to help us realise these opportunities and our vision into the future, and to this end Claire’s professional advice will be invaluable.”
