HSD welcomes Neil Edwards AM to its Advisory Board

Neil joins the advisory board, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from his time in business, government and board roles. Neil has previously held positions as the Secretary of the Victorian Department of State and Regional Development, CEO of both the Chifley Business School and TVET Australia, and has chaired the boards of organisations such as the Port of Melbourne Corporation, Defence Science Technology Organisation and Mission to Seafarers Victoria.  Neil is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia.

Neil was also awarded an AM (Member of the Order of Australia) in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday honours. HSD CEO, Narendra Tomar, welcomed Neil to the board stating: “HSD are very excited by the opportunity to work with Neil in this capacity. It’s not every day that an organisation gets access to someone as knowledgeable as Neil. Neil comes with an abundance of experience and business nous; which HSD will be taking full advantage of.”  Neil added, “I’m delighted to be joining HSD’s advisory board. HSD are keen to make a big leap as an organisation and I’m impressed by the steps they have already taken to do so.

To join an organisation that has a track record of delivering quality services to clients, like HSD do — I’m sure this new relationship will be a successful one.” Neil has hit the ground running in his role, providing strong advice to HSD executive and senior management during the most recent board meeting.

Neil gave insight and counsel on how HSD can make changes for both current and future clients, which are being implemented. HSD Board Chair, Michael Nancarrow said: “When Neil talks, everyone listens. From his first introduction to the board, it was clear what Neil was going to bring. I’m excited to see the opportunities that Neil will bring in the future.”
