Lawful Interception (LI)

LI systems made for the Australian market, backed by expert local support

The Telecommunications Act 1997 and subsequent amendments provide the legislative framework for the regulation of LI in Australia.  In short, under Australian law ISPs are required to maintain an interception capability and facilitate the lawful interception of subscriber content when served with a warrant.

Fulfil your compliance obligations

HSD has been helping Australian ISPs fulfil their compliance obligations for over a decade.  The Generic Traffic Interception System (GTIS) has evolved over this time to keep pace with both legislative and technical changes.

Now in its fifth generation, GTIS supports the capture, formatting and delivery of subscriber content to current Australian standards.
Features at a glance:
  •     Network capture at line speed (up to 10GbE)
  •     Fixed IPv4/6 interception
  •     Triggered IPv4/6 interception – passive L2TP, RADIUS and VoIP (SIP)
  •     Web-based UI – supports the administration of warrants and services by authorised personnel
